Laufey is a 26-year-old Jazz artist from Iceland whose music feels like you’re going through your fifth heartbreak and finding your true love all in one day, but like in the best way possible. Her debut song, ” Street by Street” blew up from TikTok in 2020 and since then, the world has fallen in love with her. I saw her in concert last year in 2022 for $80.00 and now she’s on a world tour with tickets varying from $300.00 to $1,000. Good for her, but not for my wallet!
The sensational singer-songwriter is known for her whimsical charming voice and personality. Her recent album “Bewitched” dropped on September 8, 2023, and had many fans feeling like they were under a spell and ready for October. Fans now speculate she may be coming out with a Christmas Album because of her new song “Christmas Dreaming” that released on November 3. It’s the perfect song for anyone who needs to get in the spirit of the holidays but wants something besides all the songs about Jolly Old Saint Nick.
The song’s official audio plays a nostalgic home video of Laufey and her twin sister, Julia, dancing with a lit Christmas tree in the background. The precious video captures the feeling of the song perfectly as Laufey sings about how despite there being “No sign of snow around” she hears jingle bells ringing in her ear because of a promise an individual made to her. She sings, “Your promise must be the reason the happy season is here. So I’m doing my Christmas dreaming a little early this year.”

This isn’t Laufey’s first rodeo with Christmas music. She’s also dropped a song in 2022 with famous British singer-songwriter, Dodie, called “Love To Keep Me Warm” about the cozy feelings that love can bring in the winter. They’re so cute it makes me sick.
Lastly, her song ” The Christmas Waltz” reminisces all the dreamy feelings that Christmas Eve and Day can bring you. The last chorus of this song introduces a kid’s choir that makes the song feel like a classic( It definitely will be one day) and makes you want to cuddle under a blanket with a nice hot mug of cocoa!
November only started, but I’m already dreaming of all the joy Christmas brings because of Laufey and now you can too!
