As a student in The Beatles and Beyond UGS at UT Austin, I enjoyed attending an exclusive performance by The Eggman on March 22, 2023, in the Music Building and Recital Hall (MRH). The Eggmen are a Beatles cover band that’s performed for more than 25 years. If that wasn’t cool enough, they’re Austin-based! For those interested in the band, click here for their website.

Being a longtime Beatles fan, I’ve dreamed of seeing them perform live, but I was born a few decades late for that. I’ve spent years watching old concert footage just imagining what it would be like to be in the crowd. Watching The Eggmen perform was *almost* like seeing The Beatles. Their setlist captured the charm and character of their idols. The members embody the spirit of The Fab Four and played songs such as “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Love Me Do” with respect for the craft while having plenty of fun on stage.
