Q: What is your year and major??
A: I’m a third year Biology (BA)/ pre-optometry student.

Q: What made you want to pursue this major?
A: I really enjoy science, but like getting a little taste of everything. This is why I chose to have a Bachelor of Arts in biology rather than Bachelor of Science. It shows my well-rounded personality.

Q: What keeps you motivated and on the right path?
A: Self determination and being disciplined ever since I was a child, has kept me motivated to pursue my life long goals.

Q: What extracurriculars do you balance your academic life with?
A: Socializing with friends and family, being involved in Pre-Optometry Professional Society, volunteering, and soon to be working at an optometrist office.

Q: What has been your most memorable college experience so far?
A: Forty acres Fest when Girl Talk came! I haven’t attended to many concerts in my life, but the fact that UT was able to organize such an amazing event for us longhorns, was truly awesome!

Q: What is your favorite part about being at UT?
A: The diversity and the atmosphere gives a true college experience. The spirit and pride of being a longhorn is amazing to experience, it’s an honor to be attending one of the top universities in the nation.

Q: Do you have any tips for freshman??
A: Time management. Don’t get too distracted with of the many different distractions here at UT Austin. First get your feet wet by adjusting to the new atmosphere and workload. Once you get a hang of it, then go out and enjoy your college life- because it’ll go by so fast!
