If you know me, then you know that I’m a big music fan. I love listening to music and sharing song recommendations with my friends and family. In honor of Women’s History Month, I’ve compiled a list of some great albums by women that I think y’all should listen to!

CTRL BY SZA

This is THE SZA album! Ctrl was her first studio album released all the way back in 2017. The album features some of SZA’s most iconic songs like “The Weekend”, “Love Galore”, and “Broken Clocks”. Seriously, go check it out if you haven’t already.

Renaissance by Beyoncé

Bey is back! Beyoncé dropped RENAISSANCE, the first album of a 3-part series last July. RENAISSANCE explores disco and blends it with Beyoncé’s beautiful signature R&B sound. The album is great to dance to and always puts me in a good mood.

Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) By Kali Uchis

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Sin Miedo is gorgeous and lush while crossing many different genres like pop, jazz, R&B, and reggaeton. The album is also Uchis’ first Spanish project, producing viral hits like the dreamy “telepátia”.

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves

This is the album that got me into Kacey Musgraves. She takes the nostalgic Texas country sound and makes it modern and fresh by combining it with pop and disco elements. The range on Golden Hour is truly impressive and Musgraves’ sincerity in her lyrics is deeply inspiring.

Born to Die by Lana Del Rey

I’ve been listening to Lana for years and this is her best album in my opinion. Born to Die features some of my favorite songs of hers including “Diet Mountain Dew”, “Video Games”, and “National Anthem”. Every song on the album has a cinematic vibe and it feels like she’s pulling you into a vintage movie.

I truly believe that these albums feature some of the best music released in the last few years. I hope y’all enjoy these recommendations. Happy listening!
