4 Wintery Crafts That Take Less Than 20 Minutes to Make

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Texas chapter.

It’s almost winter break, which means that in less than two weeks we will all be done with finals and looking for idle pastimes. Because some winter crafts take too much mental power after finals, and because some of us don’t like sitting still for very long, here are some great, simple crafts to decorate your parents’ house this holiday season! To find the directions for any of these crafting projects, click on the titles of each project (they are hyperlinked).

Cute Felt Gnomes

These gnomes are so fun and absolutely adorable! Want to create a new gnome on the shelf holiday tradition? These would be a perfect choice. This project doesn’t require an abundance of supplies also, so this project likely won’t put much strain on your wallet. Although the linked directions say that these gnomes are for Valentines Day, they are equally as fitting for the holiday season (especially if you use wintery colors!).

Paper Plate Wreath

This is a cute and simple craft (that also requires almost entirely everyday craft supplies). Break out your childhood craft supplies stash and go to town! This could make a great decoration for your bedroom door, the Christmas tree, or the walls in your home.

3D Paper Snowflake

Make one of these this holiday season, and all your family and friends will think you are an artistic genius! Also, not proud of how your classes went this semester and need a dodging strategy when your family asks you about it? Whip out a ton of these and tell them all about your newfound love of paper art.

Melting Snowman Painted Rocks

These snowmen are both cute and absolutely hilarious! Get out your painting supplies and some rocks and give this project a shot to create some fantastic decorations.

Happy holidays and happy crafting!
