Lets be real, this isn’t just a fad. Women know what they want, especially before men can even think about what they are eating for dinner, or even their weekend plans. Women mature much faster than men do; they anticipate their goals earlier and just expand on them as time passes. We also know exactly what we want in a man, and if we can’t find it with one we will keep searching. It took some time for us women to realize that older men were what we needed. After this realization set in, it didn’t take long for older men to be the most wanted. Exactly like the appeal of George Clooney.
So what is the attraction to older men all about?
1. Older men are more mature.
With aging comes maturity; this is one of the ultimate deciding factors for women to go for an older man. See they are no longer boys who make stupid comments, and don’t know how to act during appropriate situations. Sure women will always be more mature than men, that’s a given. Men get better with age, it’s like wine.
2. He knows how to make plans (and stick to them).
Unlike women most guys don’t like to plan a head, and at times that can be very frustrating. Or, you could have plans but then last minute he makes a cancellation, and it happens over and over again. Older men like to schedule and know where they are off to next. Having dinner plans with you after work just makes the workday much more enjoyable.
3. He is stable in life and has “financial independence.”
Men like to work, and they often feel rewarded by making enough to support their lifestyle and live happily. They aren’t living paycheck by paycheck and have a pantry full of nothing. Men also know they are the ones pick up the check on the first date.
4. He is confident and charming.
Cheesy pick up lines, aren’t you tired of hearing those? Please tell me you can think of something more clever and witty to say that will hold our interest. Older men have that instant mysterious charm that just turns women on. Its sexy when a man is confident and knows what he wants. Yes he is flirting with you, but he knows he is doing a damn good job with it.
5. He’s more experienced…in bed.
So you’ve had a few dates and things are going well, now its time to take things to the bedroom. A few ‘minutes’ later you lay there in awe. What they say is true, older men are better in bed; they are much more sexually experienced. They’ve been around the block a few times, (but not too many) that they are always keeping you on your toes.
6. They value things in life like, family.
Family comes first, and older men know how to have a great value for things they love and care about. When he is good with his family and takes time out of his busy schedule for them you know he has reached that certain level of maturity you have been looking for. Guys a bit younger tend to value being out all hours of the night, and forgetting about their responsibilities the next day. Men enjoy being around their family, and if he treats his momma well you know he’s a keeper.
7. He knows how to have fun, but can be serious too.
After a crazy week at work, we are ready for the clock to strike five and head over to happy hour. Men can focus and be on a strict weekly schedule due to work, but when the week is over they know how to take us out for an exciting night. In all seriousness we don’t want someone who we can’t enjoy the weekend with. After being focused on work during the week, we want a man who can help us empty the mini fridge.
Older men have it all figured out, just like we do. We appreciate your wit, and relish on how you can go from seriously sexy in a suit, to tousled and relaxed in bed. Thank you, George Clooney, for continuing to still swoon us women, even if you are taken.
