I think it’s safe to say that what we all need after constantly hearing about the Coronavirus from the news is some light-hearted distractions to ease our minds and replenish our sanity. Here are some ways that you can distract yourself amidst all the chaos happening in the world!

Start a new show

Now, while this might not be the most proactive way to distract yourself, it might alleviate at least some of the tension you might be feeling right now. Starting, or even binge-watching, a show that you have been dying to watch can easily transport you into another world where, you know, there isn’t worldwide chaos occurring.

Learn a new recipe

Cooking, or baking, is something that I have been having the urge to do a lot now after being cooped up at home. It’s a proactive approach to keeping busy, while also learning how to make a new recipe that could potentially become a new favorite.

Declutter

This is something that none of us particularly look forward to, but in the end, it does make you feel so much better having accomplished it. Decluttering anything — from your wardrobe to your accessories and makeup — it is something that takes up time and saves you time in the long run!

Remain positive

I know it’s easier said than done, but at the end of the day, it’s worthwhile to think that this is not going to last forever, and that we all need to take the necessary precautions so that we can stay safe.

Happy social distancing!
