Although the Mr. Temple contestants want to get the crowd hype, they ultimately want to impress these three: the pageant judges! Meet (from left to right) Richard, Jasmine and Andrew — the three that will decide who will reign as this year’s Mr. Temple. And since Richard and Andrew were contestants last year, they definitely know their stuff and can put themselves in the contestants’ shoes.

Find out what they’re looking for in a Mr. Temple and what they’ll be like as judges!

What Mr. Temple would be like for him: I lived it. I was the runner up in the first ever Mr. Temple competition. If I won, it would have brought a sense of pride; I was always the quiet kid in high school. Even though I came in second place, I feel like I represented the true self that I always kept hidden and the people closest to me.

How he will be judging the contestants: Honestly, just make me laugh and you’re on the right track. I have a sense of style, mainly swag, and a soft spot on the inside too. Look fresh, put on a good show, and you got my vote.

His advice to the contestants: Bottom line, just have fun. No one will judge you for anything you do, and if they do, well they probably do not have the guts to get on stage and do what you are about to do. This competition is not life or death, it is something to do before the parties on Friday. Win or lose, feel a sense of pride within yourself. You got up there and did it. You made the choice to sign up; tryout, and obviously you had the talent to be selected.
