It’s a new season: time for a new wardrobe!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

1. Cozy Chunky Sweaters

Chunky knit sweaters are a timeless fall favorite. They not only keep you warm, but also add a touch of coziness to your look. This season, oversized, cable-knit sweaters in earthy tones like rust, olive green, and mustard are particularly popular. Pair them with jeans, leggings, or even a skirt for a versatile and comfortable fall outfit.

2. Ankle Boots

Ankle boots are a versatile and stylish choice for the fall season. Whether you prefer classic leather, suede, or trendy snake print, there is an ankle boot style to suit every taste. These boots look great with everything from jeans to dresses, making them a must-have footwear option for the cooler months.

3. Trench Coat

A classic Trench coat is a timeless addition to any fall wardrobe. This elegant and practical piece is perfect for layering over sweaters or blazers. Neutral colors like beige, camel, or deep navy are ideal choices, as they can be easily paired with various outfits. The trench coat adds sophistication to your look while keeping you warm and dry on drizzly fall days my favorite trench coat

4. Plaid for Days!

Plaid patterns never go out of style in the fall. Whether it is a plaid blazer, skirt, or scarf, incorporating this pattern into your outfit adds a touch of autumn charm. This season, oversized plaid blazers are particularly on-trend, and they can be dressed up or down to suit various occasions. For inspo, look at clueless. That yellow plaid look had me obsessed!

5. Leather Accents

When it comes to leather, no matter what form it is, I want it. Leather accents are a great way to add edge and texture to your fall outfits. Leather jackets, skirts, or even leather-trimmed accessories like belts and bags can elevate your look. Try pairing a leather jacket with a flowy dress or skirt for a chic contrast between edgy and feminine elements.

6. Wide-Leg Trousers

Wide-leg trousers are making a comeback this fall, offering a comfortable yet sophisticated option for your wardrobe. These trousers can be found in various fabrics and colors, from wool to corduroy and deep jewel tones to neutrals. Pair them with a tucked-in blouse or a chunky sweater to create a polished and fashionable fall look.

7. A pop of color goes a long way

As we know neutrals run the foundation of fall, especially when it comes to fashion. However, it doesn’t have to be your entire wardrobe! It is important to be able to explore fashion, and adding color is the way to do it. If you like darker tones, I say go with colors like magenta and navy blue. For warmer colors, I would like oranges and reds. Fashion is not limited to clothing; either a pop of color in accessories or shoes will always complete an outfit.

Fall is a season of transition, and your wardrobe should transition along with it. By incorporating these six fall fashion staples into your closet, you will be ready to embrace the changing weather and look stylish while doing it. From cozy sweaters to chic ankle boots, these pieces will not only keep you warm, but also ensure that you are on-trend for the season. So, get ready to step out in style and make the most of the beauty that autumn has to offer.
