The Hot New TV Series You’ll Fall For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

With the smell of pumpkin spice in the air and leggings finally making their way back into your closets, it can only mean one thing: fall is finally back!  Gone are the days of warm summer nights, and here are the days of binge-watching all of the new fall series that are filling TV screens.

There are so many new options to choose from, and why waste all of your time weeding through them?  Lucky for you, I took on the exhausting task of sitting in my sweats all night with a bottle of Pinot Grigio to watch the new shows and let you know which ones were worth watching.

Here are some of the new series that have come out so far ranked and reviewed:

  1. THIS IS US: There’s nothing bad that I could say about this show.  It is everything I hoped it would be based on the trailers that have been played nonstop for the last couple weeks.  It’s raw and plays on real-life situations.  I can’t wait to see more!

  1. DESIGNATED SURVIVOR:  Full of thrill and anticipation, this new series is about a man who becomes president after an attack during the State of the Union address.  This kept me on the edge of my seat, and I’m hoping it continues to.

  1. BETTER THINGS:  A young, single mother in Los Angeles raising her three children with a witty screenplay makes for a great TV series.  It’ll remind you of your relationship with your own mother, and it’s dry sense of humor will make you want to watch more.

      4. SPEECHLESS:  If you want to laugh, this one is worth watching.  A young teenager with cerebral palsy and his family deal with different conflicts in ways you wouldn’t expect them to.  It takes something serious, and gives it an outlet in a new way.

  1. THE GOOD PLACE:  This show is written well, light-hearted, and will keep you laughing and entertained.  Plus, who doesn’t love Kristen Bell?!
