Sweet Moment – 4 Stars

Sweet Moment is a cafe located in New York, New York. They specialize in bizarre desserts, shaved ice, and personalized drinks including coffee and tea. As of right now they’re not open for dine in and delivery but take out is available.

Depending on the size you purchase the price range can be between $3-15 which isn’t too expensive for the quality of the food and drinks. My friend especially loved the watermelon bingsu (shaved ice) and matcha latte. If shaved ice or lattes aren’t your favorite, Sweet Moment also offers lemonade, waffles, cheesecake, and ice cream.

“Perfect place to study and also hang out with friends. Very ambient and relaxing vibe. Great tasting food, highly recommended matcha latte.”- Anna

Tsaocaa & BBQ Chicken – 4 Stars

If you are ever around the South Philadelphia area this store is a must stop location. Tsaocaa and BBQ Chicken is known for serving korean style fried chicken wings and different varieties of bubble tea and iced teas. Dine in is still not available for this store but takeout and delivery are.

I’ve personally had the cheesling boneless chicken and honey garlic boneless chicken, both are to die for and they melt in your mouth when you take a bite out of it. I also highly recommend the passion fruit green tea with lime if you’re looking for something refreshing to drink after devouring the savory chicken. I’ve only had the chicken and tea from this location and it comes at a reasonable price. $13 for 10 pieces of decent sized chicken and about $4-5 for a cup of iced tea.

“Ideal spot to get fried chicken on the go. Unique flavor that can’t be compared to anything else.”- Joyce

Stop by Tsaocca & BBQ Chicken and order something from the menu for lunch or dinner, you’ll definitely want to come back for seconds! Listed below are the address and the store hours for your convenience.

Paris Baguette – 4 Stars

Looking for something sweet but not too overwhelming? Stop by Paris Baguette at the North East or South Philadelphia location to grab cake, pastries, and drinks. Paris Baguette is known for its light tasting desserts and freshly baked bread.

They have multiple selections to choose from but I’ve personally only had the milk bread, blueberry chiffon cake, strawberry cream cake, curry croquette, smoked sausage bread, and blueberry/ cream cheese pastry, all of which are delightful. Prices range from $3-4 for the pastries/sandwiches and around high $20s to low $30s for a full sized cake.

“I’ve gotten my birthday cake from here for multiple years but I never get sick of the taste because it’s that good. I especially like the blueberry chiffon cake because it tastes like blueberry muffins. It’s a muffin and cake wrapped into one, who doesn’t love that!”-Joyce

Walk in and take a look at the huge variety paris baguette has to offer. It’s the perfect place to get french inspired dessert. I’ll provide the two locations in Philly that I’ve been to. Please feel free to look at it and consider visiting this spot.

Levain Bakery – 5 Stars

Having trouble finding the perfect cookie? Well not anymore! Levain Bakery is a well known bakery that specializes in baking giant cookies and fresh bread. It’s based in New York, New York and it’s an iconic spot for many locals and tourists alike.

If you don’t want to make a long trip to New York, no problem. Levain Bakery sells their cookies online and it’s just as good. My cousin has tried the dark chocolate chip cookie and oatmeal raisin cookie, both are equally delicious, soft, and chewy. Each cookie is about $4 and the ciabatta bread they have in store is around $5 which is affordable and filling.

“That crispy exterior and gooeyness on the inside is the best of both worlds. My favorite is the oatmeal raisin!”- Kelly

Take a look at this location and I’ll bet it’s the best cookie you’ve ever had, well besides grandma’s cookies (nothing can beat that). I’ll list the address, website, and store hours below and you can do whatever you want with it.

Cafe Soho – 4 Stars

Craving fried chicken that’s crispy on the outside and moist on the inside? Check out Cafe Soho in North East Philadelphia where they cook up one of the best asian fusion based dishes and drinks. Cafe Soho is currently not allowing dine in and delivery but takeout is available. If you don’t want to wait 30 minutes, order ahead of time and the staff will give you a call when the food/ drinks are ready.

Cafe Soho’s chicken is fried to perfection and is double fried to leave the crunchy exterior that everyone loves. Their fried chicken has no antibiotics, animal by-products, are raised caged free, and doesn’t have any hormones or steroids added. Each order of fried chicken also comes with a side of pickled radish. My family and I have only had the spicy wings, special wings, and soy garlic wings along with a peach lemonade and mango yogurt banana smoothie but they’re all just as delicious. You can get 10 wings for $13 or 18 wings for $22. The drinks range from $5-7 depending on what you get. The lemonade I got was $5 but the freshly made smoothie my mom got was $7.

“My favorite wings would either be spicy or special but I do know that a lot of people prefer the soy garlic. Order these chicken wings with a lemonade and you’ll be left with a sweet and savory taste. Cafe Soho has one of the best crunchy fried chicken wings and I highly recommend it to people who haven’t tried it.”- Joyce
