The Tech Center is arguably the campus hotspot for arduous studying and efficient workflow – but there is no shame in noticing a cutie in there that is working just as hard as you!

Which is how us ladies of Her Campus Temple met Chance Rodriguez, who by happenstance stumbled upon one of our meetings. Don’t we all mix a little play with our work?

Chance is a hard-working student who recently pledged for Temple’s Kappa Sigma chapter earlier this semester. Between his schoolwork and his fraternity pledging, Chance is definitely a dedicated guy who is always on his grind. He just transferred to Temple this year, so he’s very open to meeting new people. Ahem, ladies – this is your cue to say hi if you see him around campus (especially the Tech Center)!

Year: Sophomore

Major: Finance, minor in legal studies

Age: 18

Hometown: Bronx, NY

Relationship Status: Single

Hobbies: Going to the gym four days a week, running, boxing, playing soccer, surfing

Aspirations: “Basically, I just want to be content with what I’m doing in life. Other people might want to focus on money to be happy, but I just want to do something that will make me happy.”

Three words to describe him: Confident, dedicated, disciplined

Fun fact: He used to model!

Most prized possession: A bracelet that his grandmother gave him.

Role model: “My dad. He is like my best friend.”

Ideal date: “I’d like to take a girl somewhere fancy. You never have a second chance under a first impression, so I’d take her somewhere nice. I’d go to an expensive spot.”

Ideal girl: “Just to have a nice personality. If a girl has an ugly personality then I’m not going to like her. I definitely don’t like snobs! But I like smart girls. [Appearance-wise] I don’t have a preference, I like all women.”
