After a long wait, Adele’s new album, 30, is finally out… and it’s blessing our ears. Read more to find out about my personal opinions, comments, and overall rating of the album!

One thing about Adele is that she never misses. And her new album, 30 is a grand example of that. Debuting on November 19, 2021, the album has already gained some incredibly warranted love and traction from a massive listening audience. It’s so successful already that it’s garnered millions of streams in one night alone and continues to top the charts. Not that it’s very shocking since Adele has a record of being a groundbreaking artist.

Adele is also notable for having music that’ll make you feel like you’re following an entire storyline. As she has mentioned in interviews before, this album is supposed to be about her divorce and her feelings surrounding it — which explains why the first song of the album is called “Strangers by Nature.” My favorite line is the opening line when she says “I’ll be taking flowers to the cemetery of my heart” I just like this paired with the mystical-sounding background instrument that perfectly creates the heart wrenching feeling of feeling like you’re floating away, on a cloud. The lyrics are written beautifully and the harmonies feel like a blessing, of their own.

My second favorite is Cry Your Heart Out.” This one just has such a spunky vibe and harmony to it, even though the lyrics are sad. Its irony – a sad song that makes me want to groove – makes it a repeat in my book!

My next favorite song of the album is none other than Adele’s first collaborative song, “All Night Parking” with Eroll Garner. It has a nice feeling that almost imitates a R&b vibe and, honestly, I’m loving it from Adele. It’s so clean and fresh.

“I Drink Wine” alluded, with its title, that it was going to be fun and flirty… but it wasn’t. It was more of an emotional reflection of herself as a person. I felt like this could be the most relatable song in the album.

My last favorite was “My Little Love.” I felt like this was meant to be very emotional as it was kind of like a letter to her song, in a way, and ended with her talking about her emotions, trying to keep it together, and loneliness. It was beautifully raw.

Overall, the album turned out exactly how I imagined and it was definitely amazing. I loved how  different it felt and how it resembled Adele showcasing her range with harmonies all around. If I had to rate it, the album would be an easy 9.5/10.

Once again, Adele exceeded my expectations and has provided her audience with great work, each and every time. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for queen Adele but, until then, I hope the album was just as much a delight to you as it was to me.
