Post-Spring Break Survival Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCU chapter.

You did it. You survived Spring Break. But now it’s time for the real challenge: how do you survive the second half of spring semester?

1. Make time for yourself.

Whether it’s painting your nails, reading a good book, or just watching Netflix for an hour (or four), set aside some time every day or just once a week to do something you enjoy, with no interruptions from friends, roommates, or homework.

2. Spend time outside.

As tempting as it may be to hole yourself up inside your room or the library for hours on end to do homework, take a few breaks in between to lay out, or move the study sesh outside. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

3. Get some exercise.

Spring Break may be over, but summer is just around the corner, which means it’s almost bikini season! Start off simple and take the stairs instead of the elevator. Or do mini workouts during commercials while you watch TV. It’s the best of both worlds!

4. Plan a day-cation.

Going back to school after being on vacation for a week can be a rude awakening. Make the transition to class a little easier by planning a day trip somewhere new with your friends, or just exploring Fort Worth!

5. Spend time with your friends.

The semester will be over before you know it, so take advantage of the time you have with your friends before the summer. It may be the last time you see them for a couple of months and you will miss them more than you can imagine.
