How Soon is Too Soon to Decorate for Fall??

The Her Campus National Editors write about products we love and think you’ll love too. Her Campus has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase. All products are in stock and all prices are accurate as of publication.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCU chapter.

I am 10000% the type of person that gets WAY too excited about the holidays. Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, you name it, and I am decorating for it earlier than you could expect.

When it comes to fall, how soon is too soon to decorate? I mean, Starbucks just came out with their Pumpkin Spice Latte (yum), Target has some fall décor out, and I see too many playlists on Spotify named “Fall Vibes.”

My cue to start decorating for fall is when it starts to feel like fall outside. Well…as someone who lives in Texas, I just base my decision to decorate on my gut. With Texas being incredibly unpredictable when it comes to weather, fall comes when the people start to celebrate and decorate.

So, thanks to Target and my favorite shops around, fall is already starting to show. A few of my favorite influencers like Macy Blackwell have started posting their favorite soup recipes. And Turtle Creek Lane is already starting to decorate her mansion with all things Halloween.

I have already taken it upon myself to put together some fall bouquets thanks to At Home (also, check out this place…it is decorating Heaven) and I truly find joy in decorating! So there is no shame in decorating when you want to.

Here is a list of my favorite websites to order from for fall decor…just click the link and fall into a shopping spiral like I normally do. You can thank me whenever you decide to decorate! (Hopefully, that’s soon!)

  1. Michaels
  2. At Home
  3. Hobby Lobby
  4. Pottery Barn
  5. Lowes
  6. Target

Also, catch me listening to Christmas music as soon as it hits midnight on November 1st…
