On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Sombr came to American Airlines Stadium in Dallas, Texas, for one of his stops on his You Are The Reason Why tour, supporting his 2025 album: I barely know her. He had two opening acts: The Hellp, which is an electronic and indie sleaze duo from Los Angeles, California, and The Last Dinner Party, which is a rock band from London, United Kingdom.
I had the privilege of attending with one of my friends. We dressed up in very rock-heavy aesthetic outfits. I had on a fabulous faux fur jacket, which I paired with a red crop top and a jean mini skirt, while my friend had black bleached pants with different Sombr motifs, such as 12-12 and a mat with a key under it (iykyk) and a leather jacket.
The openers started around 7:30, with The Hellp performing for about 30 minutes, and then The Last Dinner Party performed from 8:10 to about 8:40. While I didn’t really like The Hellp’s style of music, I could see fans of EDM really enjoying them. I did particularly enjoy The Last Dinner Party. Their songs were very lively, and they had very good crowd engagement; they talked about how they went to the Texas State Fair earlier that day and tried fried butter, which they particularly enjoyed.
Around 9 is when Sombr came out. His stage was built with NYC in mind, with it focusing on tenements with fire escapes, which are very prominent in his songs, like “Homewrecker,” and on classic NYC shops that featured hot pizza stores, amongst other things. There was graffiti, and it used a lot of lighting production. I thought it was very unique; the set was utilized in many different ways that helped both the theme of the concert and the setting of the songs. Sombr’s energy was electric, with him constantly engaging with fans, telling stories, and even letting the fans choose a surprise song based on how loud we cheered for a song. He even told us his real name: Shane.

The concert ended at around 11, which is when I promptly got my official tour merch shirt as we were leaving the stadium, and then a knockoff shirt from the vendors outside. I enjoyed the concert very much and will look forward to his next album and tour when it comes around to Dallas again.
