With the arrival of November comes one of the most exciting and stressful times of the year. We are so close to Thanksgiving Break and Christmas, but exams, assignments, and finals still stand in our way. A good way to relieve stress and enjoy life is by playing with dogs. Since so many of us are far from our dogs, here are a few places in the DFW area where you can pet puppies and be happy:

Mutts Canine Cantina

Located in Uptown Dallas, Mutts is a lively and bustling dog park and cantina. At this off-leash park, dogs are free to run, play, and explore while their owners relax. Mutts has a very social atmosphere for both humans and dogs. The dogs are excited, friendly, and social, so you’re bound to make a furry friend. Even if you’re not a member, you can have a drink and a hot dog while enjoying the amazing view.

Petland

Since my first semester of college, I have sworn by Petland as my source of stress relief for finals. During dead days of every semester, I make a trip to Petland, located in Dallas, and make my way around to all the animals. Petland allows you to choose from a variety of puppies, gives you toys, and lets you spend time with said puppy in a private room. Just be careful—you might leave with a new puppy!

Traders Village

Traders Village is an outdoor flea market located in Grand Prairie, TX. In addition to all the food, shopping, and entertainment, Traders Village also hosts multiple pet stores. The puppy store is always popular and filled with people. The entire room is filled with puppies that you can play with and hold and with the affordable prices, who knows, maybe you can bring one home! In addition to the puppy store, there are also multiple bird and bunny vendors where you can observe beautiful birds and fluffy bunnies. Traders Village is definitely worth the visit!
