Winter is around the corner and it’s time to jump in and update our wardrobes for this new season. Cold nights and snow-covered roads have never stopped us from being in the latest fashion, and season after season, new collections and designs make a strong appearance on the stage. But before taking our cards and going to the stores, let’s consider the trends that might blow up in the following months.

1. Bomber Jackets

Beginning with the safest and most obvious answer, jackets are a mandatory piece in our wardrobe during cold seasons. Of course, we’re going to see a bunch of them, but that doesn’t mean we can’t style them. A smart-casual choice that you can play with and go from a modest style to an extravagant one. On the runways, designers like Prada, Raf Simmons, and Elie Saab played with different textures, designs, and colors. Bomber jackets are here to stay.

2. Bold Colors

Usually, a dark and duller range of colors dominates the winter seasons. However, this year looks different from what we’re used to it. On the runways, we could appreciate vivid and brighter colors like no other year such as hot pink, violet, red, acid green, and aquamarine creating a new tendency.

3. Maxi skirts

The 90s are back. We saw it at the beginning of the year and now they’re here again. After the domination of miniskirts on the runways during the spring and summer, we’re transitioning into a long length just perfect for the coldest months. Designers such as The Row and Altuzarra show us how to wear them for 2022, and now the maxi length with slimmer cut silhouettes are everywhere.

4. Highlight the waist

Along with the 90s, the 2000s fashion is back stronger than ever. The Y2K fashion is here and the love for corseting is not leaving. For the cold season, we still are going to be focusing on our waist but now we’re layering. The influence of the corsets on the runways followed by the Gen Z hype for the trend led the designers to incorporate this silhouette.

5. Leather

Leather jackets, pants, and dresses stood out on the runways with a biker style. As seen with Alexander McQueen, leather is in for this season. Not to mention how comfortable and versatile it can be, a piece of leather can make us look more elegant which is just perfect for our winter looks.
