Despite what the weather would want us to believe, it’s officially fall! Read on to find some of the most fun and most Insta-worthy fall places to visit nearby.

1.  Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze

General admission is free and who doesn’t love that? There’s a corn maze, hay rides, concessions, and an abundance of photo ops that all scream fall. It’s open daily through October 31st depending on the weather, and is a cash only business.

2.  Pumpkin Village at the Dallas Arboretum

An actual village made of actual pumpkins, about 90,000 of them. General admission into the arboretum is $15 for adults. There’s a hay bale Maze and a pumpkin patch, as well as a Great Pumpkin Search Scavenger Hunt. Plus, while you’re there you have the rest of the arboretum to enjoy as well.

3. State Fair of Texas

Although not thematically “fall,” is it really fall in Texas if you didn’t go to the State Fair? This one can be quite pricey, but most would say it’s well worth it. Live music and fried food galore. Open until the 23rd of October.

4. DFW Pug-O-Ween

Probably the best thing on this list. The DFW Pug Rescue Club hosts and is the biggest Pug rescue organization in the US. This is the 20th annual one, and includes a silent auction, a pug adoption parade, a costume parade, and pug races. Tickets are $8 for Adults.

5. Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Of course the last item on the list has to be the gem we practically have in our own backyard, the oldest botanic garden in Texas. The changing leaves makes the garden something truly beautiful, as well as the fact that admission to the main garden and parking is free. Entrance into the Japanese Garden is $7, with The Fort Worth Japanese Garden Fall Festival happening November 5-6 for $8
