UGG Boots
Whether its summer, fall or winter, many girls love to wear UGG boots. Where do TCNJ guys stand on UGGs?
Jason: I like UGG boots because I think they are fashionable… I guess!
Kevin: Not a huge fan of UGG Boots particularly because they just don’t look good. I understand that they are very comfortable, as I have tried on a pair before but they’ve become more of a status symbol than a means of keeping your feet warm.
Joe: I love UGGs. They look sleek.
Brandon: Love them! Especially the really cute knit ones. They keep girls’ feet warm and are super convenient. They’re constantly updating the styles from the original so there’s always lots of options.
Oversize Sunglasses
The latest sunglass fad sports lenses that take up most of a girl’s face (did someone say Snooki? ) Guys, do you these shades catch your eye?
Jason: HATE IT! I like to a see a girl’s eyes and face.
Kevin: I think oversize sunglasses are hilarious. By hilarious, I mean I love them if the person wearing them knows that they look really silly. Someone who takes themself very seriously while wearing oversize glasses needs a reality check.
Joe: Hate! They’re obnoxious.
Brandon: Love them! I don’t know exactly, there’s something that’s very glamorous about huge, vintage sunglasses that I just love seeing on girls.
Leggings
Have you ever seen a girl wearing spandex as pants? Maybe you are guilty of it yourself. Let’s see what the guys think!
Jason: Love the spandex! Looks nice on a girl’s… (If that girl is my girlfriend, of course!)?
Kevin: Leggings are fine. I’ve heard they’re really comfortable so if they make the wearer feel good about themselves as well as provide a level of comfort, then I’m all for it.
Joe: Like! Partly because you cant see their leg hair.
Brandon: I honestly love leggings when they’re used appropriately, and that seems to be the trick. I think it looks tacky when they’re just used as pants.
Animal Print
Girls love to channel their inner cheetah with bold animal prints, but will it catch a guy’s eye?
Jason: I hate animal prints; they are tacky.
Kevin: Animal print is something that I’m not really a huge fan of, mostly because it usually clashes with whatever the person is wearing. I just don’t like the look.
Joe: Hate it. I love animals…don’t kill them or fake that you killed them!
Brandon: It depends on the item it’s used on…with shoes and accessories, I love animal prints, but not on main items like tops or bottoms.
High-waist Pants
These pants are the opposite of low rise! They button at a girl’s belly button. Do guys think higher is better?
Jason: Hmmm…high-waist pants, I really don’t know. But I think I like low pants.
Kevin: High-waist pants are definitely something that I’ve never really thought about. I’ve seen girls wear them and hate it, but I’ve also had the opposite happen. I guess it really depends on whether it fits in with your personal style or not.
Joe: Love it. They show a new style that I know nothing about.
Brandon: Hate it! This is one trend that I could really do without! I hope it’s short lived. Low-rise is one of my favorite styles of jeans.
