I’ve found that cooking can be really intimidating at first glance. It can be especially daunting if you’re not used to it, but the only way to get better is by actually doing it. It’s almost never as hard as it seems, and it can even be fun! Whether you’re cooking for yourself, or even making a meal for someone you love, cooking can be very entertaining and rewarding. It makes you feel proud of yourself for trying something new! That being said, it can be extremely difficult finding the time and motivation when ordering out has become so convenient. With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of 5 simple recipes that won’t stress you out or take up too much of your time. But will still give you delicious results!

#1: Chicken Sausage Orzo Skillet https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8UR6mxE/

Like most of the recipes I will list, I found this on TikTok (since most of my feed is food content but that’s besides the point). This recipe only takes about 25 minutes, and looks so delicious! Since the weather has been getting colder, I’ve been really craving comforting warm dinners like this one. Plus, this recipe is fairly healthy as well!

#2: Street Corn Chicken Bowl https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8URM2QV/

This is another recipe that doesn’t take too long, and has all the nutrients you look for in a meal! Chicken and rice is always a go to dinner option for me, but this elevates it to something more appealing.

#3: Creamy Garlic Butter Ditalini Pasta https://www.sugarandsoul.co/that-viral-ditalini-pasta-recipe/

This recipe is super basic, only takes 15 minutes, but looks super good. Sometimes I will crave something as plain as buttered noodles, and this recipe is like a leveled up version. It is definitely really simple, which gives you room to experiment a little bit! You can add chicken, or some type of protein. Or maybe pair it with some sort of vegetable!

#4: Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry https://www.countryliving.com/food-drinks/a36343741/beef-and-broccoli-stir-fry-recipe/

Sometimes making your own dinner is even faster than getting it delivered. This is the case with this recipe! Another plus of making meals at home is knowing exactly what is going into your food. This meal is very low effort, and perfect if you’ve had a long day that has left you with not much time or energy.

#5: One-Pan Creamy Chicken and Gnocchi https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a36903973/one-pan-chicken-and-gnocchi-recipe/

One-pan dishes are always appealing because they’re very convenient, and don’t call for a lot of cleaning up after cooking is done. This dish comes together in under an hour, and will most likely become a staple in your dinner rotation.

#6 (BONUS!!): Garlic and Herb Butter Steak Bites over Mashed Potatoes https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8URCWcS/

This one is a little ambitious I won’t lie, and definitely takes up a good amount of time because of the mashed potatoes. But don’t be scared! I saw this recipe on TikTok, and have been drooling over it ever since. While I haven’t made this myself, my boyfriend actually made it for me and it was amazing. I would highly recommend trying this out, because even though it seems intimidating it really is not.
