This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

Major: Communication Studies with a specialization in Radio, TV, and Film

Year: Class of 2021

Where did you grow up? West Orange, NJ

When did you start making videos and films? January of 2018

What made you fall in love with it?

I guess it’s because I’m bad writing, and the idea of being able to tell a story though videos is intriguing. It’s like an essay, it can be short or long, it can be emotional, it can have music and meaning with different visuals and stuff like that.”

What’s your favorite movie right now?

Good Boys (2019) because it was really funny watching these kids struggle to exist. Growing up as a dude is pretty, ridiculously stupid, and the movie portrays that really well. I like that they were all really good friends because I’ve been best friends with mine since like 6th grade, so I related to it a lot.”

Who is your inspiration?

“Kacey Neistat because we have the same personality. We’re both kids at heart and love what we’re doing. He thinks big and outside of the box. He’s honestly the ideal person I want to be because he run a company, makes YouTube videos, and he inspires people, and that’s what I aspire to be.”

What have you been doing this summer in terms of video and filmmaking?

I went to a documentary film festival in June, which was really fun! I networked a lot with filmmakers, which is great for the future, and I also recently shot a wedding which was beautiful and interesting. It was really high pressure because you only have one shot at everything. It was a little scary, but it was fun for the day, and I can’t wait to edit it!”

Do you make videos for TCNJ or other organizations on campus?

“I work for the school making videos for big events on campus and I make videos for LTV where I produce my own show talking about organizations on campus. I also work with this group that sings about four times a year. They’re a really cool a cappella group called i-Tunes, and I’m going to be their videographer for the year, so I’m really excited!”

What’s one piece of advice you have for future filmmakers?

“Do what you want to do and be yourself in everything you do. It will come across in your work and will go a long way.”

Eunice is a current student at TCNJ, and she majors in Communications Studies with minors in Marketing and Graphic Design. She has also been the Graphic Designer for HC TCNJ since Fall of 2018. Although she only has her phone to take photos, she loves to capture the world around her, and doesn't care if she has to stop in the middle of traffic to do so! Eunice is also a food lover and the occasional Netflix and Hulu binger, with her favorite shows right now being "Quantico" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (She thinks she could totally be a cop or FBI agent). Eunice and many of her favorite photographs can be found on her Instagram account, @blasianchronicles or @eundesigns.
