Love is Blind is a reality TV show that takes place on the streaming platform Netflix. 9 years of this show and it still remains as successful as it was during the first season. Season 9 was known for the drama, leaving all couples coming out separately. I wanted to take the time and rank these 6 couples on how tolerable they were to watch.Â
Megan and Jordan
I really enjoyed watching Megan and Jordan together and seeing them get married, making them the easiest couple to watch. They complemented each other heavily and had minimal issues, ones they were willing and able to work through. Megan’s excitement to bond with Jordan’s son, Luca, and her willingness to work with his ex felt genuine and heartwarming. Even at the reunion, they seemed to still care about each other, and there was no bad blood. Seeing them on screen, it felt like they were already a couple, making it enjoyable to watch based on their seriousness.Â
Ali and Anton
Ali and Anton had their problems, yes, but overall, they were one of the easier couples to watch. Besides the truck driver comments and incompatible lifestyles, they were cute together and complemented each other well. I felt their connection through the screen, as many viewers did, and actually saw them getting married. As the season progressed, I still felt their love, but knew it wasn’t the right time for them. Maybe as they grow and develop, they will connect again, and maybe that goodbye was permanent.Â
Kalybriah and EdmondÂ
I can’t lie, there were a few scenes where I felt they would really work together, but in the end, I knew it wasn’t happening. With that being said, I did enjoy seeing them on screen because it was clear they were both looking for love. They both were willing to work through problems and communicate, but there are some scenes of Edmond that I can’t get out of my mind. I felt Kalybriah looked past Edmond’s red flags and was almost too understanding. I really enjoyed Kalybriah, though, and seeing them hug at the reunion was good closure.Â
Annie and NickÂ
I actually thought Annie and Nick were perfect for each other, but that didn’t make them more bearable to watch. With their values lining up in religion and family, I thought it was bound to work. Some of their exchanges felt artificial and almost like they were both there for the camera. They fell hard and fast too, which makes the viewer question how genuine their love was on both ends. Annie was also very pushy with getting married on the show, while Nick was not feeling as eager, leading the relationship to its downfall.
Madison and Joe
Madison and Joe being at the bottom should show as no surprise to anyone. I personally loved Madison and thought she was great and someone who very clearly wanted to find their person. She wanted to find someone to love her unconditionally, and Joe was far from that. Watching the clips of Joe drunk and Madison still trying to be understanding and communicate with him made me cringe as I felt he had zero interest in fixing things. His comments on Madison’s appearance were hard to watch and sad, as a woman in this day and age, with numerous people commenting on women’s bodies.
Kacie and Patrick
They didn’t even make it one day together. This relationship was a mess and sad because they truly did have a connection in the pods. The ring exchange at the reunion was messy too, still showing that there is tension between the two. Watching all the scenes with them meeting after the pods made me cringe, and it was obvious there was no connection anymore.Â
