Now that finals are here, I went around campus and surveyed the different ways students relieve stress. Wish I tried some of these out before I graduate. Here are some of the responses:

  1. “I take a hot shower and just let the hot water hit me for a couple more minutes instead of rushing out.”

  2. “I go for a run at night to drain the stress out of me.”

  3. “I like to sit with a hot drink like tea and watch some YouTube beauty video or sit on my phone for a little before I start my homework.”

  4. “Hang out with friends and try to laugh for a little before going back to work.”

  5. “Sometimes if I get a panic attack or anxiety, I meditate or do some yoga poses.”

  6. “I eat food that makes me happy like Panera’s mac and cheese during finals.”

  7. “My naps are a minimum of two hours. Naps make me relaxed.”

  8. “Re-watching Netflix episodes. I refuse to start new series during finals.”

  9. “I clean my room when I’m stressed. Not sure why.”

And everyone’s favorite: “You mean besides alcohol?”
