We’ve all been through a time in our lives where we experienced a massive breakout, had serious acne issues, or just simply weren’t comfortable with the appearance of our skin. No matter what skin type you may have (oily, dry, or a combination of both) you should always take the time to treat your skin to give it that natural, smooth glow. It is important to take care of your skin since it protects you from many viruses and aids in many of our body functions. Now, I know that many of us struggle with finding the perfect skin care routine and it can be extremely time-consuming to manage healthy skin, but the end result is always worth it! With that being said, here are a few tips that will help you on your journey to happy and healthy skin.

1. Always take off your makeup!

If you wear makeup, it’s essential to take off all of your makeup at the end of the day. After a long day, you’re sure to have excessive dirt and this is a BIG no no for your skin! Leaving your makeup on overnight can clog your pores and cause other severe skin problems like discoloration, acne, wrinkles, and dry skin. There are many different ways to remove the makeup from your face, whether it’s makeup remover wipes, cleansing oil, or just water. It’s also important to clean your makeup brushes on a regular basis.

2. Use Witch Hazel

This product has been a highly requested product by many people who have received great results from their skincare routine. Witch Hazel is a natural toner and astringent that is used to prevent blemishes, remove excess oil, and reduce the appearance of pores. Many people also use this product as a treatment for acne. I highly recommend trying this product out and letting it speak for itself!

3. Drink lots of water!

Drinking water is a major step to maintaining healthy, clear skin. Water strips the body and skin from any toxins. There’s no doubt you will have that ageless, natural glowing skin after drinking tons of water.

4. Wash your pillow cases and sheets!

I know this may seem like a minor effect to healthy skin, but it is actually one of the most important tips for maintaining healthy skin. After a while, dirt starts to build up, which causes breakouts within the skin. Changing your sheets and pillow cases regularly will prevent your skin from having clogged pores or blemishes.

5. Moisturize regularly

Moisturizing your skin can improve its tone and texture, and prevent dry skin. It’s best to use a moisturizer that contains SPF to protect your skin from sun damage.

6. Exfoliate

It’s important to exfoliate at least once or twice a week. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin, giving you that healthy, natural glow you’ve been dying for.

Side note: It’s important for you to find the products that work best for your skin. There’s not one single product that will fit all skin types. However, make sure you are using natural skin care products! This will surely benefit your skin and help you to maintain a healthy glowing skin! Click here for more tips on cold weather skincare.
