Fall time is here, and I have come to realize I had nothing appropriate for the fast-approaching season. Warmer weather was always my preference, and I never really noticed how many cropped shirts, tube tops, short dresses, and flip flops I actually own. It was definitely time for an upgrade.
Recently, I placed an online order on Fashion Nova to help solve my “closet crisis”. Fashion Nova has a ton of cute, fashionable pieces at affordable prices. Everything has arrived in perfect timing, and I have to say, I’m in love. Here are my top 5 clothing pieces that I thought were a great essential for a woman’s new fall wardrobe!

All tops/dresses were purchased in a size Extra Small or Small, jeans in a size 5, and shoes in a size 8
- Let’s start with tops. First on the list, I purchased the “Warmest Occasion Wrap Sweater” sweater [$20.99], in the color Mauve. For starters, mauve is one of my favorite neutral colors, and neutral colors are always a great choice for the fall season. Even though the top was ordered in a size small, it still has a bit more room in the sleeves, so it almost has an off the shoulder feel, which I loved. This is such a cute, everyday sweater. Pair it with your favorite jeans, a pair of Uggs or booties, and you’re good to go!
2. Next, I purchased the “Let’s Wrap It Up” wrap sweater [$15.99], in the color Lavender. This sweater has a pretty similar appeal to the first top I had mentioned, just a bit tighter with a little bit heavier feel, but slightly cropped (great for my fellow crop top loving queens out there). The color on this top is everything! Just like the “Warmest Occasion Wrap Sweater” sweater, it checks off all the three Cs; cute, causal, and comfy, and a MUST-HAVE in your closet!
3. Now we’re coming up to my overall favorite piece. I always wanted a fashionable dress for the fall time, and this definitely exceeded my expectations. The “Oh You Fancy Huh Mini Dress” [$27.99] gives off a sweet “girl next door” kind of vibe, with also a hint of sexy. This off the shoulder dress has a tight feel, but the material has some give, so it’s not overwhelming, fits nice and snug, and will definitely flaunt your figure. It’s such a simple dress, but you can dress it up with some jewelry and really make it your own. I honestly feel like I’m going to a fancy dinner or a “night on the town” when I put on this dress. It takes me away from the reality that I’m a broke college student, and makes me feel like I’m worth a million bucks. The only con is that I wish I had gone with my gut, and gotten it in a smaller size (purchased it in a small). I can’t wait to pull this outfit out and surprise my boyfriend with it on our next date night!
4. Another item that I absolutely adore (and to be honest, bring with me almost everyday) is the “Fluff Off Sherpa Bomber Jacket” [$20.99] in the color Taupe. When I tell you guys, this jacket is so soft! The jacket has more of a Sherpa design, but it’s not so wooly and overpowering. It’s simple enough to be a statement jacket to throw over your original fit, but stylish enough to wear it as part of you outfit! It’s even heavy enough to wear during the wintertime if one would like! Overall, a 10/10.
5. We can’t have all these cute pieces and not top it off with a fabulous shoe! I actually ended up purchasing three different pairs; the first pair is called the “Guilt Trip Booties” [$27.99], purchased in a pretty cream color, and black as well. These booties are styled to where you can even wear them out for a “girls night out”, since they have a bit of a 3 inch heel to it. When I saw these on their site, I knew I had to buy them. I mean… they were just too irresistible!
Finally, I’ve always wanted a pair of thigh high boots, so when I found these, I knew I would treasure them for as long as they will last me. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my “Pretty In Thigh High Boots” [$33.99]. Most thigh highs, and even some knee highs, always tend to have that funky gap that doesn’t fit around the thigh/shin area comfortably, but this boot fits just right: nice n snug. I just realized that they also come in a pretty leopard print pattern, and it immediately got added to my cart for my next purchase.
So, to put it simply, one is the same bootie just different colors, the other is a thigh high boot. Different styles, all fabulous.
