This Collegiette™ is ready to play dirty.

As a workout enthusiast who is always up for a challenge, I entered the Tough Mudder competition — a 12-mile run equipped with over 20 grueling obstacles dispersed throughout its muddy course. Obstacles like running through fire, crossing a field of live wires (some carrying an electric shock of over 10,000 volts, according to the Tough Mudder website) and jumping off a 15-foot platform into a lake of bone-chilling water…just to name a few. Check out the full course here!

Enduring 12
miles of what seems like methods of cruel and unusual punishment voluntarily might seem like too much for this 5-foot-4-inch collegiette™, but I know I’m up for the challenge.

To ensure that I cross that finish line, however, I am going to document my preparation through an exclusive Her Campus TCNJ Tough Mudder Blog. Throughout the weeks leading up to the event on November 12, I’ll keep you updated on my training, introduce you to my Tough Mudder Team and fill you in on why I entered the competition in the first place.
