There has been a lot of buzz around the phrase clean beauty. Clean beauty has been one of the fastest-growing trends in the world of beauty in the last couple of years.

So what is clean beauty?

Clean beauty can simply be described as products without any harmful chemicals and are formulated with non-toxic ingredients. For example, if you see products labeled as made without chemicals such as parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances this would be considered a clean beauty product.

The world of clean beauty is large and it can be overwhelming to figure out what products are the best of the best. Here is my list of the best clean products for beginners:

  1. Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser – $36

A cult classic face wash formulated with kale, spinach, and green tea. This cleanser is great for all skin types and a perfect introduction product to Youth to the People, which is a top-tier clean beauty brand and offers a wide range of skincare.

  1. Tower 28 SOS Rescue Facial Spray- $28

A clean natural soothing spray perfect for those with acne and sensitive skin. This spray calms the skin, repairs your barrier, and helps with breakouts.

  1. Versed Mood Lighting Glow Drops- $17.99

These drops give the most subtle glow to make the skin radiant and even. There are two shade options as this serves as the base to your ‘no makeup look.’

  1. Saie Hyrdabeam Concealer- $26

This concealer promises to serve as a skin-enhancing, brightening, and hydrating product. It is packed with clean ingredients like squalene, cucumber extract, and licorice root extract. With 15 shades available this is certain to be a great option for anybody.

  1. ILIA Limitless Mascara- $28

This clean mascara alternative won’t flake and offers the perfect amount of volume and lengthening. This product was even awarded the ‘Best Clean Mascara’ from the 2019 Allure Best of Beauty awards.
