With the holiday season over and faced with some of the coldest temperatures of the year, many collegiettes are feeling the “winter blues.” But don’t be depressed. This can also be one of the best times of the year!
Here are some things you can look forward to this winter to get you out of that winter slump:
It’s that time of year, right after the holidays and winter break, to show off that new outfit and boots you bought and have been dying to wear. Dressing well makes you feel good.
Explore what you can do indoors. You have some cute outfits, so grab your friends and go bowling, to the movies, to a musical, out to your favorite restaurant, or hang out at a friend’s house. Making plans and sharing laughs keeps you warm and upbeat.
This is also the only time of year where you can wake up to a snowy scene outside your window. You can’t help but feel like a kid again when you get that urge to bundle up and sled down a hill, or fall in the snow and make a snow angel. And there’s no better feeling than retreating back inside to sip on some hot cocoa in the warmth!
You may not be able to whip out the BBQ and grill, but instead, cook up some comfort food. Soups, stew and pasta dishes are just some of the meals that warm you from the inside out.
Use the cold winter days to get your creativity flowing. It is a great time to work on any unfinished projects or start a new one! Pinterest is a great site to get inspired and to find unique crafting ideas. Accomplishing a task or tackling a fun project allows you to feel productive. And it’s a great way to show off your creative skills!
Who said this is the dead winter when there are so many activities to liven it up?
