We have all heard that diet and exercise lead to weight loss. We learn that working off more calories than we eat means pounds will be shed. And we’ve been told that keeping a strict diet of protein, fruits and vegetables is essential to both weight loss and overall health. But is all of this completely true?
Recent findings by nutritionists and major research universities across the country have suggested that all of the diet and health tips we are taught from childhood are simply myths.* Furthermore, celebrities that have claimed to follow strict diets in order to maintain their sleek frames have revealed that these “diets” were mere fabrications for publicity purposes. In reality, stars keep their bodies lean by eating whatever they want.
Foods with a large amount of saturated fat and sodium appear to do the body wonders.
Low caloric intake is a thing of the past as more and more people are turning to binge eating of fatty, delicious foods to feel physically and mentally sound. Discipline and self- control is entirely unneeded thanks to recent research.
So, toss your running shoes, plop on the couch and eat whatever you want. Still unsure what to do or think after reading the above? That’s understandable. In order to help you out, here are some greats foods guaranteed to keep off the pounds.
Ice cream
Ideal for building strong bones.
Pizza
There’s cheese for calcium, sauce for nutrients, and bread for the much needed carbohydrate energy boost. Eating a whole large pie of pizza is a valuable skill to have. So don’t hold back! If anything, pizza will keep you as skinny as that salad you used to eat everyday for lunch. If you can eat a whole pie, more power to you.
Chocolate
Chocolate of any kind, from milk chocolate to chocolate with caramel or raspberry, makes anybody happy. Now you can be happy knowing that you won’t gain weight from indulging! Chocolate puts everybody in a great mood. And do not just settle for dark cocoa because you once heard it was the only healthy kind of chocolate. Milk chocolate has many nutritional benefits and is decadent with virtually anything!
Doughnuts
Everybody needs to have a certain amount of carbohydrates everyday for energy. Doughnuts, particularly Boston cream pie doughnuts, are mouthwatering and energizing. Instead of whole wheat toast and egg whites (or anything else said to be healthy) have a doughnut! You’ll feel just as energized and happy with yourself for it.
Deluxe Breakfast: Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Bagel
This bagel is jam-packed with everything mouthwatering and is great for losing weight. Plus, as a breakfast item, it will kick off your metabolism. Your hips will thank you for the bacon, egg and cheese combination. Pants will fit better, your arteries will stay unclogged and your day will be that much brighter knowing that you ate something delicious and beneficial for your body.
Deluxe Lunch: Fast food double cheeseburgers, large fries, large fountain drink
Whoever said fast food is bad for you clearly did not want fast food companies to be successful. Fast food actually has the same nutritional benefits as fruit! Plus, the food is cheap. Feel revitalized after a long morning of classes by stopping off at Wendy’s or Burger King. Your stomach will thank you.
Deluxe Dinner: The five-course meal
The more food you eat, the faster your metabolism gets. Five course dinners are a great way to increase the speed of your metabolism. Here is an example of a great five-course meal: start off with two pieces of heavily buttered bread. Then go for a nice greasy or fried appetizer like nachos or mozzarella sticks. For a main course, it is recommended to have heaping plate of pasta or an enormous rack of ribs. Have two desserts after the main dish. One dessert is your appetizer-dessert and the other is your main-course-dessert. For the appetizer-dessert, have a brownie or cookie. For the main-course-dessert, go for half a cheesecake. Can you say yummy?
