5 Ways To Prepare For The Holiday Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

Break out the warm beverages – The first way to prepare for the winter is quit the frappuccinos and iced teas and break out the hot chocolate and hot lattes. Nothing says winter like a peppermint mocha.

DECORATE – To get in the holiday spirit, decorate your room. Whether Christmas trees and wreaths are your thing or like the cool white and blue of snowflakes and sparkly tinsel, it doesn’t feel like the holidays until it looks like the holidays so get crafty.

Sweaters on sweaters on sweaters – Nothing says winter without breaking out your fave sweater. Whether you like them festive, big, striped, or all 3, every day is a sweater day during the holiday season.

Break out the holiday movies – Nothing says holidays like sitting with your friends in sweaters, with warm drinks, while watching holiday movies. Whether anything winter will suffice (i.e. Frozen), you’re a fan of the classics (It’s A Wonderful Life), or you will always and forever kick off the holiday season with How the Grinch Stole Christmas, it’s movie time.

Presents! – The holidays are the time for giving. Whether that means volunteering, helping out parent’s around the house, or donating some items to charities, we all love giving presents to those close to us. So if Black Friday wasn’t your thing and you’re still looking for those perfect gifts, hop to it. Whether you’re a baker, a crafter, or a shopper, the holidays aren’t complete until you’ve checked off everyone on your nice list.
