My 3 Favorite Lush Products

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMUSA chapter.

As a self-obsessed Lush fan, I can’t help but break my wallet every time I enter the store. I first shopped at Lush sometime around 2017 when I went shopping in Houston. But, it just recently opened up at my local mall, and I fell in love with the products and the philosophy all over again. For the sake of keeping this article short, here are my three favorite Lush products.

Pumice Power ($5.45)

Ingredients: Pumice Powder, Organic Sweet Orange Oil

I rely on lotion to soften the skin on my feet, but lately, it isn’t cutting out for me. Pumice Power is a rough soap bar that exfoliates the dead skin on your feet. After one wash, the heels of my feet felt soft to the touch!

The only downside was that I felt like it wasn’t strong enough to rub everything away. Also, be sure to wipe the orange residue left in your shower (it can get messy).

Whoosh ($8.95)

Ingredients: Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Honey Water, Fresh Lemon Juice

Ever heard of shower jellies? Lush created the nifty soap back in 2005 to celebrate their anniversary. Although I’ve never bought anything like it before, I’m currently obsessed with my shower jelly! This zesty soap, which looks like Jell-O, is so fun to play with while washing your body!

My only setback for this product is that it breaks apart so easily. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to keep the whole thing intact or if I should break it up. Truthfully, I think Lush just wanted me to have fun with it.

Mask of Magnaminty ($14.95)

Ingredients: Honey, Peppermint Oil, Ground Anduki Beans

This cult classic is not only my favorite face mask but my first item from Lush! If you’ve never bought from this store, I would suggest purchasing the Mask of Magnaminty first. First, I’d like to say that I love the smell of peppermint and the tingling made my face feel fresh without being abrasive. Second, the Anduki beans help exfoliate the dry spots of my skin, leaving the area smooth.

I can’t think of any about my favorite product, but the only thing I can say is that it also serves as a body cleanser.
