We have to hand it to the fictional men; they know how to get a girl to fall for them… even if they are not actually real. Just a small con that we can overlook because of the many pros that the fictional men have. Some girls look for their dream guy based on their own fictional boyfriend and have a checklist for finding the one that most closely resembles him. I personally don’t think there is any issue with a girl knowing what she wants and never settling for anything less.
Who are these men, you ask? For your pleasure (and mine), I have compiled a list of worthy bachelors to be your next fictional boyfriend (if they are not already on your radar). With this wide array of personalities, there’s bound to be somebody for everybody. Those looking for a hot, tall nerd? I’ve got your guy. You want someone who’s a little toxic and obsessed with you? Keep reading and meet your new man!
For those of you who were looking for a slightly toxic and obsessed man, I give you Edward Cullen. Is this one basic? Maybe, but you know what they say: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. For those of you who live under a rock, Edward Cullen is from the movie series Twilight, and he is the kind of guy who would kill for you… literally. Don’t worry though, he’s not a bad guy, just one with a dark and mysterious past. At least for the first few minutes of the first movie, until he spills to Bella that he’s a vampire. While he is slightly toxic because he continuously threatens to leave Bella for her own safety (and did for almost a whole movie), he is also very in love with her and only has eyes for her.
Next up on the list is one that has something that many women look for: money! Or… I mean intelligence, of course. Harvey Specter is a handsome lawyer who appears in the TV show Suits. Harvey should be at the top of everybody’s list because he is a man. He is what most parents want their daughter to bring home: someone with a successful career and who is stable. The only negative is that he is quite the ladies’ man and is a real smooth talker, but is faithful when he is in a relationship. If you want what is called “the full package,” then Harvey Specter is your man.
Now, where are my The Summer I Turned Pretty girls at? Because this next fictional man is for you. Conrad Fisher is the dark and brooding male character that every girl has fallen for at some point. What can I say, being happy and having stability is boring, we want a complicated man. All jokes aside, while he is a work in progress, he is going to therapy. It is every girl’s dream when a man chooses to work on himself instead of ignoring himself as the issue. In Conrad’s case, he yearns for Belly and wants what is best for her, which is why he will always get my vote. If you are looking for someone who falls hard and then even harder… Conrad Fisher is your man.
