College Station, Texas, February 14, 2024 – With election season right around the corner, local elections are often forgotten, and navigating the right candidate to vote for can be hard. That’s why the League of Women Voters is hosting a “Speed Dating with the Candidates” in College Station. This event entails listing the issues most important to each candidate, and the attendees knowing more about what each candidate stands for. This event will be held at the Larry J. Ringer Public Library on February 17th, from 2 pm to 4 pm. All candidates in local elections will be invited. The League of Women Voters hosts this event in many cities, and its mission is to create a more informed and engaged voting population. It’s also important to note that because this is a voluntary event, it does not count as a debate and therefore abides by all campaign rules. We hope to see you there!
