I am a huge fall enthusiast. I’m not sure if it’s the weather, the fall colors, or maybe the comfortable home feeling when I feel that first fresh wind chill. Regardless, I know my puppy is excited about his first fall season. My Great Pyrenees, Charlie, loves the cold, or anything cold for the matter. From ice cubes, pup cups, frozen treats, he’ll eat it! This fall, I want Charlie to also enjoy some of the treats and drinks to welcome autumn. Here are some quick recipes to make for your dog to enjoy pumpkin season.

First off is the Dog-Friendly Pumpkin Spice Latte. You’re going to pour a ½ cup of oat milk, ¼ cup of pumpkin puree, and mix. Top it off with some whipped cream and a slight pinch of cinnamon spice! Just like with any treats, dogs can have a little bit of spice in moderation. Make sure it’s not too much and not too often.

The second recipe I’m excited to make is the Pumpkin and Peanut butter cookies! Charlie’s favorite treat of all time is peanut butter. Peanut butter anything. How to make this combine 1 cup canned pumpkin, ½ cup of peanut butter, and 2 cups of all-purpose flour (pet stores also sell flour-friendly mix!). Roll this mixture onto a baking sheet, heat at 375, and bake for 12 minutes. Cut into cute shapes and serve!

Lastly, an easy treat to make is to smash a banana, mix in a cup of natural organic yogurt and some pumpkin puree. Place it in ice cube trays and let it freeze!
