We have finally made it to November. So, if you are reading this right now, congratulate yourself. We only have one more month, and then 2020 will be over. If there is one thing that can get me through any hard time, it is music. Personally, I listen to an obnoxiously large amount of music, as I associate different songs with different parts of my life. Last week, my friend and I made a collaborative playlist on Spotify for songs that remind us of November. Although there are over 100 songs on this playlist, I thought I would share my top 5 from it (in no particular order). You may even find some to add to your own playlist.

Daddy Issues- The Neighborhood

Off of The Neighborhood’s album, Wiped Out, “Daddy Issues” has been out since 2015. Thinking back to the Tumblr days, one of my most prominent memories is spending winter break in my room with my fairy lights on and this song playing on 8tracks. For some reason, this song just screams cold weather, the sun setting at 5:30, and being wrapped up in a blanket scrolling on Tumblr. Definitely a November vibe.

Kiss Me In The Dark- Randy Rodgers Band

This is, by far, one of my favorite songs to dance to. The melody just reminds me of sitting around a fire with my closest friends and the wind blowing in the distance. Nothing screams November more than that. “Kiss Me In The Dark” is also a song that has some good memories attached to it.

Love You Goodbye- One Direction

Of course, I would never make a playlist that doesn’t have at least one One Direction song on it. “Love You Goodbye” is one of my all-time favorites. The lyrics are just so beautifully written. Talking about how you know that one person is leaving you, but you just want one more night with them is something many people can relate to. This reminds me of November because I feel that as people go home for the holidays, you get to reunite with a lot of people from your past

Seven Wonders- Feeltwood Mac

Who doesn’t love a good Fleetwood Mac song? “Seven Wonders” has the perfect upbeat sound that makes you feel like you are in a coming-of-age movie (main character vibes anyone??). The whole song reminds me of change and reflecting on things that happened in the past, which I believe November was designed for. Just one more month before December hits, and we can say goodbye to 2020.

Canal St. (feat. Bones)- A$AP Rocky

It may be me, but some songs just give a sense of the cold weather. To me, “Canal St.” is one of those songs. So, obviously, I had to add it to the playlist. It may be because back in high school, it was one of those songs we would play late at night as we drove home from someplace, and the windows were a little foggy because of heat blasting in the car. This song just strikes that memory in my brain; it had to go on the playlist.

There are so many more songs from my playlist that I could have written about because every one of them is just so good.
