The “Internally Dying But Still Thriving” Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMU chapter.

Midterms are approaching. Stress is multiplying. Texas weather is being weird again. “How am I supposed to relieve these gnarly feels?” you ask. After all, party music jarringly contrasts your state of mind but listening to music that’s straight up emo puts you at risk of spiraling into an unproductive state of existentialism.

Have no fear, the “Internally Dying But Still Thriving” Playlist is here and packed with hundreds of songs (just kidding, I only chose ten) to help you make it through these trying times. You can do it!

Songs are listed in order of release date.

1. “Let It Be” by The Beatles (1970)

Memorable Lyrics: And when the night is cloudy/There is still a light that shines on me/Shine until tomorrow/Let it be

2. “My Life” by Billy Joel (1978)
