Some of us might be looking for potential internship or job opportunities for the following semester, Spring 2021. This round of internship and job interviews will be a little different from the ones before, as most of them are now virtual.

In this article, I will mention some personal tips and tricks on how to dress to impress for your virtual interview!

Even though you are doing an online interview, you still need to dress up from head to toe. Like my mother says, “dress for the part you want.” I believe that the better you dress, the more confident you will feel. And confidence is key in landing your dream internship or job!

A few no-nos are nothing too revealing and nothing too casual. You want to look the part. This means wearing something nice and professional like a dress or a two-piece suit, whatever you feel comfortable in.

I know that a lot of people think that since it is a virtual interview, you can dress well only from the waist up. But I would recommend dressing well from head to toe for the job you want. That includes a bottom and a top, or a dress.

Some outfit ideas:

A nice top with pants (not jeans)

A dress (no deep-v)

A nice top with a skirt

Also, if you have a cute tank top, match it with a blazer or a jacket! That way, you can look cute in your own style and be professional at the same time.

I hope my tips and tricks help you ace your virtual interview. Good luck on your journey to landing your dream job!
