Ladies! Meet Garrett McKay a Spanish Major, Adam Wicker ’18 a Applied Mathematics Science Major and Caleb Hostetler ’18 an Engineering Major. From what makes a great first impression to what not to do when trying to get his attention, we asked what you need to know when you’re trying to get the guy!

HC: What is the first thing that you notice in a girl?
Garrett: Her teeth!
Adam: Her eyes! It’s the first thing you see.
Caleb: Physically her face. And personality-wise her sense of humor.
HC: What is something that could be a deal-breaker?
Garrett: Oh, bad breathe definitely!
Adam: If she smokes.
Caleb: Probably if she doesn’t want to have kids, that’s a general one I think.
HC: What characteristics do you look for in a potential significant other?
Garett: I look for someone who I can talk to and will talk back to me and shows interest, also someone who is a good listener; but I also think it’s a two-way street where both of us should be able to talk and listen.
Adam: A sense of humor is important, and I also look for someone who has good family relationships.
Caleb: Someone who is light-hearted, full of fun, and who will get into trouble. What kind of trouble? Just mischief, innocent trouble.
HC: Who do you prefer makes the first move?
Garrett: The guy! No question!
Adam: Probably her. It’s equally as hard for a guy to do it than a girl.
Caleb: The guy.
HC: What are the most annoying things girls do when trying to get a guy?
Garrett: One of the most annoying things girls can do is become the non-stop texter.
Adam: Probably having to always be with/after someone.
Caleb: When they get their friends to talk to you instead of her, I’d rather her come talk to me; and maybe when they play games.
HC: And most importantly, how do you get the guy?
Garrett: I think a girl should just be her self and let that show.
Adam: I’m not sure, I guess it would depend but I don’t really have one thing that a girl would need to do to get me.
Caleb: When a girl comes up to a guy maybe have an open body language to show that she’s open to him and then see if he makes a move. Also be a little flirtatious, just to show that she’s interested.
HC: What kind of guys should girls pay more attention to?
Garrett: It would depend. “It depends on the girl and of course what kind of guys she wants, everyone is different. –Justin Teague ‘16”

Caleb: Rich? Haha, no. I think smart guys are good.
