This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMU chapter.

Christmas season has officially arrived! Christmas consists of advent calendars, anxiety, gift guides, and FreeForm’s famous annual marathon. No matter the weather conditions—Christmas approved or otherwise, thanks to global warming—we could always count on the classic Christmas movies to put us in the Christmas spirit.

For those of you living under Santa’s sleigh, FreeForm’s 25 Days of Christmas begins on December 1st every year, showing numerous Christmas themed movies. This year, we’ve chosen the best of those Christmas classics so you would know which days you absolutely need to tune in.

TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Halloween movie? Christmas movie? It the best of both worlds! This is the ultimate holiday film, which you could watch for months on end to get into any holiday spirit. Plus, it never gets old!

THE POLAR EXPRESS

“This is the Polar Express!” Hop along Tom Hanks and Josh Hutcherson in this Christmas cartoon.

MICKEY’S ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS

Disney takes on the holidays with classics retold through their famous original cast including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. This is the perfect holiday film for any Disney lover!

ELF

This is the epitome of a Christmas film, a (human) elf trying to get a grump into the Christmas spirit. Will Ferrell is the perfect choice to play this human elf trying to bond with his naughty-list-bound birth father.

SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN’ TO TOWN

This animated film is about a gloomy town ruled by the grumpy Burgermeister. A baby then arrives, who eventually is named Kris. Kris becomes the elves toy deliveryman, and well, you could tune in to see the rest!

FROSTY’S WINTERWONDERLAND

Another animated classic about the famous snowman himself, Frosty, and Jack Frost.

DISNEY’S PREP AND LANDING

This adorable Disney film was first initially released a few years ago. It’s about two elves using spy gadgets to enter peoples’ houses in preparation for Santa Claus.
