COLLEGE STATION, Nov 4th, 2022 – The non-conference schedule for Aggie Men’s Basketball has the kick off set for tonight at 7 PM CST. Tonight’s game is an exhibition with free admission against Texas A&M-Kingsville.

With last season’s record of 27-13 (9-9 in conference), the Aggies are now entering their 4th season under head coach Buzz Williams. The team was infamously left out of the NCAA tournament in the postseason. The Aggies did appear in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) and made it to the finals, which they lost to Xavier in the close 72-73 game. So what can you look forward to this season?

The non-conference schedule runs from tonight to December 30th, including 11 games (9 home, 2 away) and the Myrtle Beach Invitational. The SEC schedule consists of 18 games, 9 home and 9 away. The Aggie’s first SEC game of the season will be held January 4th at Florida and ends on March 4th, home vs Alabama.

Although the team isn’t ranked on the AP Top 25 College Basketball poll for the preseason, Texas A&M received 112 votes, which would’ve ranked the team at #26. The team did recently gain some recognition on behalf of the Aggie’s forward. Henry Coleman III was named on the preseason all-SEC second team, which is voted on by the SEC basketball coaches. The first team consisted of 9 players and the second team consisted of 8 players, of which players were chosen across all SEC teams.

Although football season isn’t quite over, there are other Aggie teams to support! You can find the full schedule with ticket information here
