Who needs a boyfriend when you can celebrate galentine’s day instead?

Although I’ve spent the majority of my life single, I’ve always loved the concept of Valentine’s Day. I’m an absolute sucker for cute pink hearts, delicious chocolates, and cuddly teddy bears. Regardless of my relationship status, I view Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to have fun with my friends and treat myself to yummy food.

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I have already started planning my Galentine’s festivities! Here is a list of my favorite activity ideas so far:

Creating a shared playlist

Music is my love language, so obviously, I need to celebrate Galentine’s Day with some good tunes. Instead of playing love ballads, I’m playing some hot girl anthems. SZA and Doja Cat will absolutely be playing throughout the day.

Anything and everything heart-shaped

Cakes, pizza, candy, you name it. If you can turn something into a heart, you need to do it. Pinterest has so many cute heart-shaped food inspirations if you need more ideas!

Pink cocktails/mocktails

You can’t forget to make cute little drinks! From a strawberry margarita to an elevated vodka cran, there are so many ways to make fun pink drinks that you and your friends will love.

Games and puzzles

I prefer to have a chill Galentine’s Day. Playing games or puzzles gives you and your gal pals the opportunity to have fun, gossip, and eat snacks simultaneously!

Gift exchange

Show your friends your appreciation for them by getting cute gifts! I always prefer to get cuddly stuffed animals or a simple box of chocolates.

Movie night

Is it really a true Galentine’s Day without a movie? Although you can choose any genre, it’s always fun to end the night with a rom-com that can make you and your friends laugh and cry at the same time.
