  1. Station 19: Firefighters + Shonda Rhimes = Amazing!!! I really love this show. 
  2. Grown-ish: This series is the first spinoff of Black-ish, Zoey Johnson is going into her first year of college with an open mind and unrivaled expectations. While there, Zoey learns that her comfy life under her fathers tutelage won’t help her in college. This show is perfect for those just going to or are currently in college, it establishes the importance of friendships and finding your own path.  

  3. Good Trouble: Callie and Mariana from the hit show The Fosters move to LA, as they take on the world they learn that everything doesn’t work out like it used to. This series is one of friendship, family, and self-independence. If you are someone who loves shows that tackle social issues that are happening in our world today, then you will love Good Trouble. 

  4. Gentefied: Get ready to laugh with this One Day At A Time mixed with On My Block . Three Mexican-American cousins trying to save their abuelo’s taco shop in Boyle Heights while learning the importance of family. This show is about unity, gentrification, and staying true to your Latinx community. I binged this show within a week because it was just that good!

  5. The Bold Type: Three independent-working women navigate the ins and outs of their job at Scarlet magazine as well as their lives outside of work. In this new age Sex and The City you will learn about friendships, self-awakenings, and staying true to your self beliefs. 

Naomi is a Senior Musical Theatre major at The University of Tampa. Her dream career is working in Film, TV, and Broadway. Currently, she resides in Florida, but hopes to live on the West Coast after graduating. She would also love to visit Oaxaca, MX, where she is from. In her free time, she enjoys drinking iced coffees, walking her dog with her family, and watching Netflix.
