“I’d rather regret the things I have done than regret the things I haven’t done.” — Lucille Ball
The Queen of Funny speaking words of wisdom, as to be expected. Personally, as a naturally reserved inclined individual it is harder for me to go out and actually do things. This is mostly due to the fact that my mind races through too many possibilities where my choices will end on the disastrous side. Ironically, I often wonder if perhaps my inaction has ever lead me down a less desirable path. Alas, such is life; those “What if” scenarios can become the bane of our existence if we let them.
However, it is Ms. Ball who reminds us that being more proactive, willing to act out our riskier choices, can prove to have some of the best rewards. True, sometimes they will come back to bite you, but I think, more often than not, you’ll be glad you took that risk.
