  1. Cats are good for your health! When petting a cat your brain releases endorphins that make you happy! Also, the purr of a cat is between 20-140 Hz which is known to be medically therapeutic! This helps with stress, anxiety, illness, joint pain and so much more! Having a cat can even lower your blood pressure and risk of a heart attack!
  2. Cats give you a sense of responsibility! Cats are very independent but they still require basic needs. Setting up a schedule of feeding your cat, cleaning the little box or grooming can give you a sense of routine and responsibility as well as create a wonderful bond.
  3. Cats give you unconditional love and companionship. From cuddles to playtime your cat will always be there. Even if you’re sitting at your desk doing work they will probably be sitting right next to you keeping you company!
  4. Owning a cat is better for the environment! Cats create a lower eco-footprint within their lifespan compared to a dog. The resources cats rely on tend to be more eco-friendly overall.
  5. Cat owners are smart! A study by Carroll University showed that cat owners tend to be more intelligent and more likely to get a degree. Cat owners have also been found to be more sensitive and open-minded!
