I spent the summer as an intern at a trendy fashion showroom in the garment district of New York City. I have
learned style is crucial to look and be confident. Whatever you wear daily, make sure to wear it as if it’s the best item out there. I saw hundreds of women in their own styles, but one of the most popular staples seemed to be combat boots. I saw these as well at Syracuse in all seasons since some of them even have fur for the winter months. I got my very own pair at Steve Madden in Soho, and now wear them almost every day
to my internship.

The different ways to wear combat boots:

Girly: Try a mini skirt with a loose shirt with a cute hair accessory or a mini
dress with a blazer

Rocker chic: Pair dark pants with a leather jacket or shorts with a big shirt
and a long necklace

Preppy: Rock a trench coat with something such as a skirt or short that is
hidden underneath or khaki pants with a buttonup shirt

Below: The different ways to wear combat boots with jeans, flirty dresses,
and blazers, which all can be worn from class to going out.

Elora likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain...but only warm rain, and especially rain that's packaged in summer thunderstorms! The sophomore magazine journalism and English major is an assistant feature copy editor for SU's independent student newspaper, the Daily Orange, and is a contributing writer for GALA Magazine. She is also a brother in the community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. Elora has country music on her iTunes for every possible mood and she will never turn down a Dave Matthews Band concert, a trip to Panera Bread or a pickup soccer game. Although she's not sure exactly what she wants to do after graduation, she hopes to use writing to make a difference in someone's world.
