Fall TV Series Premieres and Returns

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Syracuse chapter.

Fall season has started, and we all know what that means! Brand new TV series and seasons are coming our way, while some will say their final goodbyes.

This is the last season that we will hear the famous “xoxo gossip girl’’ line–only nine episodes remain before the Gossip Girl series ends. Last season, the infamous Serena van der Woodsen had supposedly died, but we discover during last’s week episode that she is more alive than ever, and even has a new man in her life.

America’s Next Top Model began with a whole new twist: this season will be a college edition. College girls from all states will compete against each other to win the fabulous prizes Tyra Banks has to offer. To add to the competition, Tyra Branks will use a sorority concept designed to cause rivalries between the girls.

On Modern Family, Gloria discovers that she will have Jay’s child, and he could not be happier. After celebrating yet another depressing birthday, Jay felt ten years younger when he heard the news.

Returning this fall is the hit comedy Glee. This season we will see famous actresses like Katie Holmes and Sarah Jessica Parkers. Katie Holmes will play Rachel’s strict dance teacher, and Sarah Jessica Parker will be Kurt’s boss at Vogue Magazine.

New series have also started this fall, including Nashville, a show starring the blonde cheerleader from Heroes, Hayden Pannetiere, as a teen singing sensation. A fading Nashville superstar is forced to team up with her, or face the loss of her tour and promotion of her latest records.

Tune in to 666 Park Avenue, a supernatural series involving wealth, sex, love, power, and even revenge.

This fall is full with new things to entertain yourself, just turn on the TV.
