Have you ever wondered what went through a murderer’s head when they killed someone, or how they were caught after such a detailed plan? Well, you’re in luck! Netflix has some incredible documentaries about murders that will give you all the details on the criminal and where they are now:

American Murder: The Family Next Door

Chris Watts, Shanann Watts, and their daughters were the perfect family… or so we thought. What Shanann didn’t know was that her husband had a mistress and was one day going to kill her and her two daughters in what seemed like a plan for a new life. He obviously didn’t get away with this inhumane murder, even after all of his lies. His wife was extremely popular on Facebook, so things looked fishy when people hadn’t heard from her… I am not going to spoil it for you but definitely add this to your watchlist!

The Ted Bundy Tapes

Apparently, this man was a heartthrob? I mean, I don’t see it, but you might. He definitely gave me creepy serial killer vibes from the start, but maybe I’m a little bias… The Ted Bundy Tapes is about the well-known serial killer, Ted Bundy. These tapes go through his life as a serial killer, his attacks, and what led him to the electric chair. They even made a movie, with Zac Efron as the star, called, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. Please watch the tapes before you watch the movie because you need to understand who Ted Bundy was as a real person.

The Mind of Aaron Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez was a New England Patriots tight end for three seasons until he was arrested for murder. This documentary shows you the evidence behind his conviction, and what happened throughout the entire case. Personally, I did not finish this series yet, but it is still on my list!

These documentaries are just a few of a huge list on Netflix. Do yourself a favor by grabbing a fluffy blanket, some popcorn, and having a creepy crime series night! Happy Spooky Season!
