Thirty, Flirty, & Thriving

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

For the Laguna Beach fans out there, this year marks 12 years since the show’s release. Twelve?! I don’t know about you, but hearing that made me feel old. I remember watching Laguna Beach when I was younger thinking “is this what high school’s like?” I realized that unless I lived on the west coast, my high school experience would’ve never been anything like theirs was.

Now let’s turn our attention to our favorite girl (or at least mine): Lauren “LC” Conrad. Not only does this year mark the 12th year anniversary of Laguna Beach’s release, but it’s also a very big year for Conrad herself. Today is her 30th birthday! Now that’s something to think about! When I think about LC, I still think she’s 22 and working at Teen Vogue with her BFF Whitney Port. Oh, how times have changed… Conrad has entered a new chapter in her life and we all know she’s going to absolutely crush it.

After Conrad left The Hills back in 2009, she released her first novel L.A. Candy, which was followed by the sequels Sweet Little Lies and Sugar and Spice. While releasing her best selling novels, Conrad collaborated with Kohl’s in ‘09 to launch her fashion line ‘LC Lauren Conrad’.

Conrad is not only a best selling author and an amazing fashion designer, but she also runs her own personal blog that incorporates a little bit of everything… like fashion, cooking, crafts and basic beauty tips. Besides her career being a total success, so if her love life! In February of 2012, Conrad started dating law student and former guitarist William Tell. Talk began about whether or not Tell would be the one. And soon enough in September of 2013, they announced their engagement. Our favorite Orange County girl found her soulmate… And of course, she looked absolutely STUNNING on her wedding day.

She still continues to focus on her fashion and writing career. Just recently, she announced the release of her new book, Celebrate, which will be available March 29, 2016. This new book teaches her fans about the most important party tricks that will guarantee you throw the party of the year! It will definitely be worth the purchase. Click here to pre-order.

I can’t wait to see what LC’s next big thing is. But for now, I’ll just continue to admire her life through her Instagram and blog.

Happy Birthday, LC!
