The Jonas Brothers are the Most Iconic Band of our Generation and Their Reunion Is Everything

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

The Jonas Brothers, a band formed in 2005 by 3 brothers, Joe, Kevin and Nick are reuniting at last. They gained their popularity on Disney Channel, and starred in their own show JONAS and the Camp Rock DCOM franchise. In 2012 the band officially split, and the brothers went on to pursue their individual careers and build their own families.

Nick Jonas began releasing his own music, including pop hit “Jealous” that came out in 2014. He played a minor role in the comedy series Scream Queens, and made fans fall even more in love with him. He also married actress Priyanka Chopra in December of 2018.

Joe had formed the band DNCE in 2015, who released the pop hit “Cake by the Ocean”. He began to be featured in films such as Pitch Perfect 3, Bad Moms, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. He became engaged to Sophie Turner in 2017, with plans to officially tie the knot in the summer of 2019.

Kevin did not continue with music like his brothers had, but instead invested his time into a real estate development company. He later created a food-finding app, and hosted trivia game show Pop Culture Live. He shares two daughters, Elena and Valentina, with his wife of almost 10 years, Danielle Jonas.

HOWEVER, it has been said that the pop rock trio will be reuniting, and it is everything we could have wished for. The music industry hasn’t been the same without more iconic songs like Burnin’ Up, Hold On and S.O.S coming out, but it will be blessed once again by the best sibling band of the 21st century.

The rumors began when the Jonas brothers decided to reactivate their instagram in January of 2018. Since then, there has been increasing speculation of their music becoming a family affair once again. They had a meeting in London in which this comeback was discussed, which will include not only new music, but a documentary as well. The brothers are said to be coming back together under a slightly different name, JONAS, rather than their former title of the Jonas Brothers. US Weekly confirmed this reunion in February of 2019, which is knocking fans off of their feet.

While we wait for more music (that will hopefully come out before the year 3000) be sure to indulge in their past tunes, you won’t regret it.
